Firstly, thank you to everyone for your support and patience at this very difficult time. Whether this is your first Elderflower Fields adventure or you’ve been partying with us at Pippingford for many years, your support means the world to us. We pour all our love and effort into the festival so that you and your kids can have a magical weekend, but we couldn’t do it without you.
For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been working hard to explore every possibility and option available to us in the context of the current coronavirus outbreak, but it has become clear that it will be impossible for us to hold the event in May as originally planned. We are a small, proudly independent festival, and our ambition has always been to provide an event which gives kids and their parents a fun, wild, but above all safe weekend adventure.
Aside from the very real probability that events will still be prohibited from taking place at the end of May, it is increasingly difficult for us to continue to plan what is a quite complex event, with such uncertainty around so many elements. It’s been an exceptionally worrying time for everyone, but especially for our small team and the wider festival industry.
So, we have made what we believe is the most positive decision available to us and are happy to announce that we have rescheduled Elderflower Fields for the weekend of 11th, 12th & 13th of September.
It will still be held at Pippingford Park and it will still be packed full of activities and performances, to entertain and inspire you in equal measure. We’ll be working on the exact details and format of the weekend over the coming weeks and we’re excited to share some of our plans with you for what will, we hope, be a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the summer together.
At this stage, ticket holders do not need to do anything. All tickets previously purchased will be valid for the September event. The same applies for live in vehicle pitches, park and pitch tickets, activity and glamping packages.
We’ll update everyone again soon with further details, but for now, thank you again for your support – we are in unprecedented times, but we’re confident that we can come together in September to celebrate and then plan towards a big 10th birthday celebration in 2021!
In the meantime, please look after each other and we wish good health to you and your families.
With love from the Elderflower Fields team.
