Here are answers to some specific questions you might have about Elderflower Fields 2021, in relation to our new dates in July.
There’s also a set of answers to more general FAQs here.
WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR ELDERFLOWER FIELDS?
The new dates for Elderflower Fields South are now confirmed as Friday 23rd – Tuesday 27th Jul 2021. The festival takes place at our usual home in Pippingford Park, East Sussex, TN22 3HW.
WHY HAVE YOU CHANGED THE DATES?
Following the recent announcement from the government, setting out the expected plan for coming out of lockdown, it is now clear that the likelihood of being able to run the festival safely on our usual May dates is very low. It might be technically feasible, but there is still a lot of uncertainty. After surviving a tough year, we really want the festival to go ahead and moving the dates later in the summer gives us the best chance at doing this.
Choosing a new date has been tricky – we have had to make sure all of our critical infrastructure and partners are able to support us and we’re mindful of the fact that (we hope) the summer will be a busy one for everyone. The 23rd July will be the start of the school summer holidays for most people and whilst we know not everyone will be able to make these dates, we hope that most of you will be able to join us.
WILL THE FESTIVAL DEFINITELY GO AHEAD IN JULY?
No one can be certain of anything, but given the details laid out by the government, all events should be allowed to operate by 21st June. Choosing to run the festival at the end of July gives us four weeks potential slippage which, at this stage, we are confident is a safe enough margin.
WHAT IF YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO RUN THE EVENT IN JULY?
If things go very badly and we’re not allowed, or it is not safe to run the festival at the end of July, we will postpone the event until 2022 and at that point all customers will again be offered the opportunity to roll tickets over or claim a refund.
GREAT - WE’RE IN! WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO?
If you are able to join us on the new dates in July, existing ticket holders don’t need to do anything. Your tickets will be valid for the new dates and we look forward to welcoming you to Pippingford Park for a long overdue celebration!
If you are yet to book tickets for Elderflower Fields this year and would like to join us in July, hurry hurry! Thanks to so many of our wonderful customers rolling tickets over from 2020, we are close to selling out.
WHAT ABOUT THE FOURTH NIGHT OF CAMPING?
Yep! We’re bringing that to July with us too. The main festival programme will run from Friday to Sunday, but as a special treat, the site, vendors and bars will stay open for a full additional 24 hours, closing at midday on Tuesday 27th May.
Read more about this in the original post here.
WILL THE PROGRAMME CHANGE?
Inevitably, not all the performers and activity providers who were originally booked for 2020 will be available in July this year. Most of the programme will remain the same, but as always, the final line up is subject to change. We’re excited to bring you details of the full programme over the coming months – details will be published on the website in due course.
WE CAN’T MAKE THE NEW DATES - WHAT ARE OUR OPTIONS?
We hope that most of you will be able to join us in July, but understand that some of you might not be able to make the new dates for various reasons. If you can’t join us in July, you have two options.
1) Roll your existing tickets over to 2022. This will really help us survive what has been a very tough year, and it will mean you get tickets for next year’s festival at the absolute best prices.
2) Claim a refund for your tickets. If you can’t make the July dates and aren’t able to hold onto your tickets for another year, you can claim a refund.
IMPORTANT: The default position is that all tickets will move to the new July dates. If you would like to roll your tickets over to 2022 or claim a refund, you must login to your Ticketsellers account and choose the relevant option before 12th March.
HOW DO I LOGIN TO MY TICKETSELLERS ACCOUNT?
To login to your account, go to https://www.theticketsellers.co.uk/your_account – you’ll see tickets you have purchased and the options available to you.
WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE AN 0-3s TICKET BUT NEED A CHILD TICKET FOR 2021?
You don’t need to do anything. For kids who have turned 4 by 23rd July, we will honour the tickets and you can use them on the new dates without needing to upgrade. This includes tickets which were rolled over from 2020.
GLAMPING
If you have booked a glamping package and are joining us in July, you will be contacted within the next 10 days, with further details and explaining whether you need to do anything. For most customers, you won’t need to do anything and your booking will be moved to the July dates.
If you are unable to join us in July and need to claim a refund on your glamping package, please wait until we provide you with more information. We are working with our providers to make sure everyone who needs a refund can claim it, but there are some logistics to figure out first. We’ll be in touch very soon with further details.
LIVE IN VEHICLES AND PARK & PITCH
All live in vehicle tickets and park and pitch tickets will be transferred to the July dates by default. If you are joining us in July, you don’t need to do anything further. If you are unable to join us in July and require a refund for your live in vehicle or park & pitch tickets, you must login to your Ticketsellers account and claim the refund before 12th March 2021.
ACTIVITY BOOKINGS
If you have booked any of the paid for or free activities, by default these will move to the July dates and if you’re joining us in July then you don’t need to do anything further. If you are unable to join us in July and require a refund for any paid for activity tickets, you must login to your Ticketsellers account and claim the refund before 12th March 2021.
We’ll be in touch with all ticket holders over the coming weeks with more information about pre-book activities for this year’s festival.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO DECIDE ABOUT MY TICKETS?
If you would like to roll your tickets over to 2022 or claim a refund, you must login to your Ticketsellers account and claim it before the 12th March 2021. After this date, all festival tickets will only be valid for our July 2021 dates. We will not be able to process refund requests after the 12th March.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE A REFUND?
After you have selected the options for a refund in your Ticketsellers account, please allow up to 28 days to receive the refund into your bank account.
