Giant Jellyfish

“Giant Jellyfish” is an exhibit and workshop created by the University of Brighton and Clevergreen events team, based on raising awareness of the issues surrounding plastic in our seas.  Turtles are magnificent creatures, but they are becoming increasingly rare. They often mistake plastic bags for their favourite food, jellyfish, which can kill them. The jellyfish sculptures on display are all made out of upcycled waste plastic, to show the similarities in their diaphanous qualities and illustrate the problem. Children can make their own mini version while learning about the damage that single use, throw away plastic can cause to sea creatures and their habitats.
